Description
Glazed, black oak wooden frame with red cloth backing. Contains a display of badges titled 'Medal & Accoutrements worn by Quartermaster Robert Anderson West York Volunteers from 1859. Died 1906'. Comprises Officer's light Infantry style shoulderbelt plate of a lion's head with a chain to a whistle in a holder, a white metal Home Service helmet plate of the 1st volunteer Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment, officer's style belt buckle of the West Yorkshire Regiment, another of The Yorkshire Regiment, Prince of Wales feathers, probably warrant officer's sleeve badge and a small galloping horse of Hanover badge with the mottoo of the West Yorkshire Regiment, with a Victorian medal probably a Territorial decoration.
