Description
Stamped white metal badge held by two copper ring lugs. Eight pointed star with radiants, on which is a detachable centre comprising garter a garter around the centre and attached across the strapend of this is a scroll which fits over the lower portion of the star. The ring contains the motto of the Order of the Garter 'HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE', the scroll 'EAST YORKS'. At the centre is a Yorkshire rose. The whole badge is surmounted by a Queen's crown. It has at some time been dismantled, the fiwing pins for the elements are now nails and pins.
