What York Museums Trust sites are affected by the new Tier 3 restrictions in York?
York Castle Museum and York Art Gallery will be temporarily closed from 31st December.
Are York Museum Gardens Open?
When will you reopen the Museums?
We will continue to monitor the situation in the coming weeks and follow any new Government guidance.
The Yorkshire Museum will also remain closed until at least Spring 2021.
I have booked tickets with you in the upcoming weeks – can I get a refund?
The majority of our income comes from ticket and membership sales and closing for a third lockdown will have a yet a further negative impact on our sustainability. For anyone who has booked tickets for this period, we would be extremely grateful if you would consider making this a donation, if your circumstances allow.
If you would like to claim a refund, please email [email protected] or [email protected] with your booking reference number along with the date and time of your booking, email you booked with and surname. Please note, refunds can take up to 7-10 days to be paid into your account.
Can I transfer my ticket to another date?
We are currently unable to transfer tickets to a new date as we have closed all future bookings temporarily until we future tier reviews. We can refund your tickets and you can re-book for another time slot when tickets are available again.
