This is an opportunity to see ‘Art and Yorkshire: from Turner to Hockney’, an exhibition inspired by art made in Yorkshire and seen through the eyes of Turner, Girtin, Hockney, Piper, Atkinson, Grimshaw and many more.

Also on show is the latest exhibition of Frank Brangwyn’s large scale WW1 posters.

On arrival we will be provided with tea/coffee and biscuits.

Curator, Jane Sellars, will then give an introductory talk.

Activities for children aged two to five years old which includes songs, stories, games and craft activities.

Sessions are based on familiar preschool play areas, which are enhanced to help children learn about the museums’ collections and exhibitions through play.

Sessions are a mixture of free flow and adult led activities which all related to the Early Years curriculum.

Sessions are free but admission applies. Yorkcard holders go free.

Bookings for September and October Sessions open 1 September whilst bookings for November and December sessions open 20 October.
