Summer Fun 2014 at York Museums Trust

Join us this summer for some fun and exciting activities at both York Castle Museum and the Yorkshire Museum.

At York Castle Museum we have lots of activities relating to our brand new exhibition 1914: When the World Changed Forever.

Meet the Recruitment Officer in our new exhibition and find out if you have what it takes to join the new volunteer army.

Sign up for special drill sessions where you will be put through your paces.

Or perhaps become a code breaker and send your own messages and decode a special message from the museum using semaphore and Morse code in this drop in activity.

Whilst over at the Yorkshire Museum the Dinosaurs have returned!

Take part in our Dinosaur Detectives activity every day from 10am and help the museum staff solve the mystery of which Dinosaur is being naughty in the museum.

You can also make your own dino mask, build a Lego-saurus and even find out about the amazing Dinosaur Trackway on display in our Extinct Gallery.
