Spectacular Sagas and Fantastical Fables

February Half Term at the Yorkshire Museum and York Art Gallery

 13 – 21 February 2016

From spectacular sagas to fantastical fables, come along to the Yorkshire Museum and York Art Gallery this February half term as artefacts and artwork are brought to life by two special storytellers.

Journey into the Viking world as Odin the Viking giant leads you on his quest to become a god at the Yorkshire Museum, while artist and storyteller, Mary Passeri, takes to the Story Chair for magical tales of York Art Gallery’s favourite paintings.

Emma Williams, assistant curator of science and archaeology (learning) said:

“Storytelling is great way to encourage children to use their imaginations and get creative.

“On select days children will discover the stories of the Yorkshire Museum and York Art Gallery’s collections in a way that is engaging, entertaining and fun and throughout half term they can join in with craft activities such as writing their own stories and making puppets.

“With our ‘Kids Go Free’ offer, this February half term is the perfect time to visit”
