Lost Creatures Lurk at the Yorkshire Museum this October Half Term

28 October 2015

This October half term find out what creatures are lurking amongst the resident remains at the Yorkshire Museum’s Extinct Galleries.

The Yorkshire Museum’s dinosaur footprints, huge sea reptiles, extinct Moa and Dodo will all be joined on select days by fluffy mammals, scaly reptiles and creepy crawlies!

Emma Williams, assistant curator of science and archaeology learning, said:

“This October half term we will be looking at the extinction, survival and adaptations of animals over millions of years.

Children can see the remains of animals that they have probably never heard of, enjoy animal handling sessions on Tuesday 27th and Thursday 29th October and learn from museum experts about how some animals have adapted or become extinct in our special Kid’s Curator Talk.

Children under 16 go free to the Yorkshire Museum so this October half term is the perfect time to visit.”
