Executive Assistant

37 hours per week, £16,676 rising to £18,587 pa

In this role you will be expected to ensure that the Chief Executive, Directorate and Board of Trustees receive a high standard of administrative support and that office management systems are in place to enable the office to run smoothly. You will expected to work outside normal office hours on occasion.

It is essential that you possess the following attributes:

  • Good general level of education
  • Advanced knowledge of current Microsoft Office packages
  • Proven track record in managing a busy office
  • Demonstrable experience of achieving results to tight deadlines with the minimum of supervision
  • Experience of interacting with a number of people at different levels, including senior management in a professional and confident manner
  • Organised and self motivated with the ability to schedule work load and manage own time effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to communicate at senior level
  • Experience of diary management
  • Flexible approach to duties and hours
  • Ability to deal appropriately with confidential and sensitive information

Human Resources Assistant

37 hours per week £12,787 rising to £15,009 pa

In this role you will be required to provide administrative assistance to the Human Resources Manager and Buildings Services & Safety Manager. Whilst it will be an advantage for you to have knowledge of Human Resources and / or Health and Safety practices and issues, experience of working with data bases and some knowledge of Front Page software application, it is essential that you possess the following attributes:

  • Excellent communication, customer care and organisational skills
  • Ability to use discretion in working with confidential information
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise in a fast-moving environment
  • Courteous, friendly and calm manner
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Flexible attitude towards performing tasks and providing cover for colleagues
  • Willingness to be a team player

Ice Cream Sales Assistants

Temporary part time, various hours £6.63 ph

In this role you will be expected to serve ice cream to visitors to the Museum Gardens from a mobile facility, ensuring that good service and a pleasurable experience is enjoyed by the customer.

The post holder should have proven ability or demonstrable experience in:

  • Retail service
  • Cash handling, numeracy and the use of retail equipment
  • A commitment to the delivery of an optimum level of customer service
  • Communicating with a diverse range of people in a friendly, effective and helpful manner considering the special needs of disabled and overseas visitors.
  • Appropriate and presentable appearance
