York Museums Trust manages York Art Gallery, York Castle Museum, the Yorkshire Museum & Gardens and York St Mary's.
It is not part of City of York Council, but looks after these historic venues and their contents on behalf of the council.
The Trust and the Council work together closely and the Council provides long-term funding support for the Trust.

We do have exciting plans to refurbish the Yorkshire Museum and the Museum Gardens, subject to raising the necessary funds to go ahead. We also have long-term plans for all of our other sites and aim to continue to improve visitors' enjoyment of our venues.

Our vacancies offer opportunities to work in visitor services, retail, marketing and administration, as well as in museum learning and curatorial roles.
